PASTORAL CARE FOR STUDENTS (BOTH DOMESTIC AND INTERNATIONAL)

The Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice 2021

At IPU New Zealand, we take the pastoral care of students seriously and make provisions to ensure the comfort, safety and well being of all students.  As we enrol both domestic and international students, IPU New Zealand is required to be a signatory of the The Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice 2021.  It is mandatory for all education providers in New Zealand that enrol international students. The New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) is the administrator of the Code.

The Code provides a framework for service delivery by educational providers and their agents to international students.

The Code sets out the minimum standards of advice and care that are expected of educational providers with respect to international students.  The Code applies to pastoral care and provision of information only, and not to academic standards.

IPU New Zealand's commitment to the Pastoral Code applies to every student enrolled with us, both domestic and international.
