CLUBS AND GROUPS
When classes are over for the day, many students enjoy IPU New Zealand club activities. Popular clubs based at the IPU New Zealand Recreation Centre are dance, sports, and martial arts clubs.
Our nationally-recognised Japanese KODAMA Drum Team have performed at several international events including the Rugby World Cup, 2014 World Taiko Meet, WOMAD, and annually at the Festival of Cultures in Palmerston North, is in high demand throughout New Zealand.
If your preferred sport or hobby is not available at IPU New Zealand, you have the opportunity to create a new club and make use of IPU New Zealand's great facilities.
Throughout the academic year, IPU New Zealand hosts a number of events for students. Many of these are student-led and provide a great opportunity for students to enhance their leadership and event management skills.

IPU NEW ZEALAND STUDENT TIKI TOURS
The dedicated IPU New Zealand Student Support team regularly organises outings for students to explore the scenic highlights of the Manawatū region. These fortnightly Tiki Tours are a great way for international students to get to know the area and meet their classmates in a relaxed environment.
OUTSIDE CLUBS AT IPU NEW ZEALAND
Many IPU New Zealand students are also involved in club activities or organisations in the Palmerston North community, including music, art, theatre, films, photography, squash or rugby.
