For Japanese Language Teachers Nationwide (NZ)
Join Japanese teachers from across the country for a one-and-a-half-day programme of professional learning, cultural experiences and engagement with the IPU New Zealand community.
Day 1: Saturday 14 November 2026, 9.00am - 4.00pm
Day 2: Sunday 15 November 2026, 9.00am - 12.30pm
Programme Highlights:
Opportunities to communicate in Japanese
Cultural experiences, such as making sushi, Japanese drumming and Soran dance
Sharing of teaching ideas and resources
Eligibility:
Applicants must be New Zealand registered teachers who are currently teaching Japanese at a New Zealand school and intend to continue teaching Japanese in New Zealand in 2027 and beyond.

Free
If you need accommodation on-campus (subject to availability), the cost is $89.00 per night (meals included)
Travel Support Available:
Teachers living outside Palmerston North may be eligible for travel support of up to NZ$500 from Language Circle towards travel and accommodation costs. For more details, please visit:
