Yoshi also provides tailored support for short-term visiting Japanese students, and since 2023 has served as Rugby Student Support Coordinator, facilitating support for visiting Japanese student professional rugby players in coordination with local rugby clubs, English language schools, and homestays.

A proud alumnus of International Pacific College, Yoshi has a personal connection to the IPU community and a genuine passion for student wellbeing and pastoral care. Prior to his current role, he worked as an Education Agent supporting Japanese high school and university students in Palmerston North, and as an Activity Supervisor at Massey University's Professional and Continuing Education (PaCE) programme. Known for his warm personality, strong interpersonal skills, and team-first attitude, Yoshi brings a friendly and dedicated approach to everything he does at IPU New Zealand.
