Peter Chan has been a lecturer at IPU New Zealand since 1994, making him one of the institution's longest-serving faculty members. Over his three decades at IPU New Zealand, he has taught a broad range of business and finance papers across diploma, and degree, including Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Advanced Financial Accounting, Corporate Finance, International Finance, Auditing, Managerial Economics, Operations Management, International Business, and Principles of Economics, among others.

Peter's research interests centre on financial markets, blockchain technology, and its applications in financial transactions and accounting. He has published in peer-reviewed journals including Asia-Pacific Financial Markets and the Institute of Finance Professionals New Zealand (INFINZ) Journal, and has presented at national and international business conferences.
