As a lecturer, she has taught in the International Course programmes at Tokyo Clark Memorial High School and Osaka Umeda Clark High School for over a decade, covering a diverse range of topics including world religions, business brands, gender equality, animal intelligence, and the globalisation of culture. She also has extensive expertise in environmental studies, having taught papers from Level 3 diploma through to Level 7 degree level from 1994 to 2021.
Alongside her teaching role, Chris has served as IPU New Zealand's Policy Development Officer since 2022, where she reviews and supports management in developing and improving policies, handbooks, forms, and other key institutional documents. Her 30 years of lecturing experience and eight years as Health & Safety Administrator have equipped her with a broad and practical understanding of institutional operations, making her exceptionally well placed to contribute to the quality and clarity of IPU New Zealand's policy framework. Her research background is in Holocene coastal geomorphology, which formed the focus of her Master's research.
