Celebrating Spring in a new way at IPU New Zealand
The famous IPU New Zealand International Spring Festival is taking a break this year so we can prepare for an even larger festival in 2020 to celebrate our 30th Anniversary. We are making the most of this opportunity by showing off our wonderful campus and the range of educational experience of our faculty.
Two separate spring related events will be held over two weeks. The first is a family picnic under the cherry blossom celebrating our tight knit community in a kiwi take on the classic Japanese Hanami. The second is a celebration of the important research being carried out by our faculty and students; a symposium day featuring speakers, workshops and cultural displays
Both of these new events celebrate the strengths of IPU New Zealand and we hope you will enjoy them as much as the Festival.

Take advantage of the beautiful blossoms blooming on our campus for a kiwi take on the classic Japanese Hanami. Students, staff and friends of IPU New Zealand are invited to picnic with their families. Enjoy the famous IPU New Zealand gardens and picnic amidst the sakura blossoms in full bloom. Experience cultural performances and take photos with students in traditional costume on a Friday afternoon made for relaxation and getting to know each other. Bring your own picnic and blanket, the event runs from 1-4pm. Parking is available in the Rec Centre car park of Pacific Drive, a 3 minute stroll from the Sakura avenue. This event is weather dependant and will be cancelled if raining.
IPU New Zealand presents a day of fresh research and engaging workshops for those with enquiring minds
A day to celebrate the research, learning, and cultures at IPU New Zealand. With keynote lectures from special guests, seminars from IPU Faculty, research presentations from IPU Students, and breakout workshops to debate ideas and communicate. There is sure to be a topic of interest available for everyone. Cultural workshops created by IPU New Zealand students are also available for a fun and immersive way to engage with some of the cultures that make up our student population. This event is free to attend. Seminar schedule will be available on the day, the event starts at 10am and is based in the Rec Centre. Parking is available in the Rec Centre car park.
