Mihara City Council visit
President Wayne Edwards summed up the mayoral delegation's visit to the IPU New Zealand campus, "Mihara and our city are of similar size and there are common aspirations. New Zealand is seeking to increase international student numbers while Japan is moving steadily to promote English language and enabling people to become more international in outlook. IPU and Mihara will certainly explore opportunities for teacher and student contact and our English teaching success could be of help in the professional development of English language teachers in Mihara."
