Diwali - Festival of Lights
Diwali, the Hindu "Festival of Lights", will be held for the first time ever at IPU New Zealand this year! The festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, and is celebrated by lighting lamps, candles, and fireworks, which represent light and life energy. The students will perform with traditional instruments and dance, and will be serving some traditional food of the festivities. A fireworks display will follow the performances.
