International Spring Festival
The 2018 International Spring Festival celebrates the diversity of cultures in the Manawatu. Visit cultural displays and exhibitions, play traditional games, enjoy performances from different countries, and taste international cuisine from our students' popular food stalls.
There will be famous Japanese drum and other musical performances, martial arts demonstrations, and traditional dances performed by IPU New Zealand students. Enjoy a variety of hands-on activities like Japanese calligraphy and kite-making, and participate in Japanese tea ceremonies.
Another highlight for many Festival visitors is buying international cuisine from the range of food stalls and picnicing under sakura (cherry blossom) trees, which are at the height of their vibrant pink beauty.
We're looking forward to seeing you at this year's International Spring Festival at IPU New Zealand on Saturday, 29th September at 11.00am. Come experience this vibrant annual event that the people of Palmerston North can proudly claim as our way of honouring all cultural traditions in New Zealand.
You can also avoid the traffic and catch of the free shuttle buses departing every 30 minutes from outside of i-site in the square running from 11am to 4pm.
The International Spring Festival would not be possible if it wasn't for the many businesses who support us.
