IPU New Zealand Speech Contest

The 7th IPU NZ English Speech Contest was held on the 29th June 2016 at the Institute’s Dojo.  23 speakers, mainly from the Foundation and Degree programmes participated in the event.  The theme of the Contest this year was “3 WISHES”, and this attracted many entertaining and often insightful speeches from our students.  President Wayne Edwards praised the speakers not only for their speaking ability, but also their courage and confidence to speak in a public event.  At close of the contest, Professor Edwards presented Participation certificates to all the participants, and Winners’ certificates to the 9 winners.  The Speech Contest has once again proven to be an effective platform for our students to showcase their English and public-speaking abilities.
