IPU New Zealand hosts CATE Conference Guests

On Wednesday 18th November IPU New Zealand hosted 48 Careers Advisors from 33 secondary schools around New Zealand for the evening. The guests were in Palmerston North for the three-day annual CATE (Careers and Transition Education) Conference held at the Awapuni Racecourse.

IPU New Zealand degree students welcomed the Careers Advisors to the campus and gave them a campus tour before they were seated for an official welcome by President Wayne Edwards. After an overview of IPU New Zealand's degree programme, the guests were treated to a buffet dinner and musical and dance performances from two student groups.

At the end of the evening, armed with IPU New Zealand prospectuses to pass on to senior students back at their respective schools, the Careers Advisors were full of positive comments on the beautiful grounds, the friendly students and staff, and the overall feel of the tertiary institute. IPU New Zealand looks forward to working closely with these schools in the coming year, and welcoming more NZ school leavers into its degree programme.
