Mihi Whakatau to Mark the Start of the 2023 Academic Year

Yesterday we held a Mihi Whakatau to formally welcome our new students to IPU New Zealand, the first since Aotearoa’s borders officially opened. Organised as part of Orientation, it was attended by staff, students, whānau, and representatives from the local community.

Next Monday will be the first day of Semester One, and the beginning of our 2023 Academic Year, marking another significant step in putting the uncertainties of the last few years behind us, and a further example of IPU New Zealand’s long-term commitment to Palmerston North.

Special thanks are due to Debi Marshall-Lobb, Deputy Mayor, Palmerston North City Council; Leon Tufuga, Poutoko Maaori, Palmerston North City Council; Nuwyne Te Awe Awe Mohi, Rangitāne o Manawatū; staff and tamariki from Tai Wānanga TŪ TOA; and Caleb Brown, General Manager of the Manawatū Jets.

Ngā mihi from all of us at IPU New Zealand, your continued support is greatly appreciated.
