Another Successful Event On Campus - the New Zealand Schools Japanese Language Trivia Championships

IPU New Zealand played host to the regional competition of the New Zealand Schools Japanese Language Trivia Championships on Friday night. Taking part were teams from five schools (Awatapu College, Feilding High School, Palmerston North Boys’ High School, St Peter's College, and Ōtaki College), with over 40 students testing their wits in the contest.

Whilst students from Feilding High School took the honours on the night, all those involved enjoyed their time at IPU New Zealand. Special thanks are due to our students who helped out, not just with the planning for the event, but also playing their part as MC (Master of Ceremonies), time-keepers and markers.

Our colleagues in the Japanese Language Section have a number of other events planned over the coming weeks, including the Japanese Speech Contest today; the winner of which will be IPU New Zealand's representative at the JSANZ (Japanese Studies Aotearoa New Zealand) Tertiary Japanese Language Speech Contest, and Bunkasai (Japanese Cultural Festival) on Wednesday 6 July.
