IPU New Zealand reading for children

As part of our continuing support of community based projects, IPU New Zealand students and staff have recorded audiobook style, read-along videos of the children's book Poupelle of Chimney Town.

Thanks to the multi-cultural makeup of our campus, we have been able to record eight language translations of the story, with more to come.

The purpose of the project is to provide children in New Zealand - especially those who are still learning english as a second language, a chance to enjoy fun stories in their native language, and make them more comfortable in a daycare or school environment.

You can find all of the language versions on the IPU New Zealand Youtube channel.

We are looking to continue this project across a range of books. If you are a owner or rights holder of a children's book that would be good for this project, please get in touch with us at nzinfo@ipu.ac.nz
