(Project – Japanese Language for Business)


We are looking for a lecturer, who will be working also as a project facilitator, for Japanese language education particularly in relevance to business.  This position requires delivering quality Japanese language teaching at a tertiary level as well as helping further development of our Japanese programme by working with various staff of the Institute and other educational establishments of the SOSHI Educational Group in Japan, to which IPU New Zealand belongs, including International Pacific University (Okayama, Japan).


The successful candidate should possess the following attributes:

  • Successful Japanese language teaching experience at a tertiary level in Japan and/or other countries
  • Successful business experience both in Japan and other countries with such tasks as sales, marketing and/or management including Human Resources development
  • Native level fluency in Japanese and business level fluency in English (required); other language proficiency (preferred)
  • Master’s degree in areas relevant to Japanese language education
  • Project management skills
  • Competent computer skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
