Japanese Immersion Programme

The 2016 Japanese Immersion Programme, offered to students enrolling in the Diploma of Japanese Studies, or Bachelor of Contemporary International Studies and wishing to take Japanese language papers, runs for four weeks over March. The programme consists of Japanese language and culture classes, research and study skills workshops, and team-building activities. Prior Japanese language studies is not required for this programme. The Immersion Programme aims to give students a chance to adjust to student life and prepare for the higher level of tertiary classes. The students receive a high level of individual support, both for their study and for their new life, from the IPU New Zealand Recruitment and Student Support staff.
