IPU New Zealand thanks 2015 Internship Providers

On Wednesday the 2nd of December IPU New Zealand hosted a thank you morning tea for our internship providers of 2015 in addition to prospective providers for 2016. The morning tea was not only an event to show our gratitude for the support from local businesses and organisations, but also a chance for current providers to network with prospective providers.

Internships play a vital role in helping students to gain real world work experience before they graduate. It is also a chance to help students get more of an idea of what they want to do in the future.

The Mayor, Mr Grant Smith attended the event, and gave an inspirational speech on the value of internships to the community. In addition to the 30 current internship providers, the Palmerston North City Council will also host internships from 2016. This new venture will provide more excellent opportunities for our students to gain high quality work experience.

We look forward to another successful year of internships in 2016!
