Virtual immigration workshop expands student horizons

As we prepare for the New Zealand borders opening, here at IPU New Zealand we have been planning for when we can again welcome international students to our beautiful campus here in Palmerston North.

Last week saw us hold a Virtual Immigration Workshop via Zoom where, with the assistance of our guest speaker, Mr Brendon Gardner, Immigration New Zealand's Relationship Manager (Migrant Skills Retention), current and prospective students were able to find out about applying for visas, student work rights and other matters pertaining to studying here at IPU New Zealand.

IPU New Zealand international marketing manager, Joseph Quiambao had this to say of the event; "Since we held the webinar, we have received a number of positive comments from students who took part, all were grateful for the opportunity to learn first-hand from a senior employee of Immigration New Zealand, and his assistance in guiding them through some of the processes involved, and advising of the requirements needed, to help them successfully apply to study at IPU New Zealand."

We are very pleased to be able to draw on the expertise of the likes of Mr Gardner, and his insight on the relevant procedures is appreciated by everyone here at IPU New Zealand, and such events are part of our continuing efforts to make the application process for international students as stress-free as possible.
